Solid silicone rubber is a peroxide crosslinked product that can be used in common molding processes such as extrusion molding, calendering molding, compression molding and transfer molding, as well as in injection processes. The product is suitable for the production of various silicone rubber products after heating and vulcanization.
Solid silicone rubber is a transparent and environmentally friendly material. It requires vulcanization in the molding process for vulcanization molding time and is molded by opening the mold. Solid silicone rubber needs to be heated during curing. Curing reaction with the help of organic peroxide or platinum-catalyzed completion, can be added to enhance the filler to achieve the required mechanical strength of the vulcanized rubber, where fumed silica due to the large specific surface area (> 100m2 / g) and is extremely suitable for use as a filler. Solid silicone rubber and liquid silicone rubber difference:
1.Liquid silicone is a liquid state, with fluidity, it is a highly transparent and safe food-grade materials, molding without adding vulcanizing agent and other auxiliary materials, sealed casting molding.
2.Solid silicone is solid state, no fluidity, a transparent environmentally friendly materials, molding need to add vulcanizing agent to accelerate the vulcanization of molding time, open mold casting molding.
