1.PU hardener is an important chemical raw material, which is widely used in the fields of coatings and adhesives for furniture, flooring, metal, paper, plastic and mineral substrates.
It is mainly used to increase the hardness, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties of coatings.
2.Properties:
A.It has good temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.
B.It is soluble in organic solvents, easy to add and mix.
C.It has no obvious irritation and toxicity to human body.
3.Uses:
A.Commonly used in the preparation of polyurethane glues, sealants, and coatings, etc.
B.Can be used to make surface coatings to provide protection and decorative functions.
C.PU hardener can be used to make elastic rubber products, such as seals, etc., after appropriate formulations.
D.It can be used to prepare polyurethane foams, such as heat-insulating materials and flexible foams.
4.Steps for usage:
A.Prepare your work area. Make sure you are working in a well-ventilated area. Wear gloves and goggles to protect yourself from chemicals.
B.Mix polyurethane and hardener. Determine the correct ratio of polyurethane to hardener according to the instructions on the product label. Thoroughly mix the two ingredients until they are completely blended. Apply the mixture to the surface to be painted. Use a brush, roller or sprayer to spread the mixture evenly over the surface.
C. Allow the mixture to cure. Cure time will vary depending on the type of polyurethane you use. Follow the instructions on the product label to determine the cure time. Once the mixture has cured, you can sand it, prime it and paint it as needed.
5.PU hardener are usually made by reacting dopamine with an isocyanate compound to produce a product with a polyether polypeptide structure. The following safety precautions should be observed during use:
A.Protective measures such as gloves and goggles should be worn during use to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
B.Maintain air circulation during operation to prevent inhalation of gases that produce odors or are hazardous.
C.It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature environments.
D.It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature environments.
